Professional development is personal development, and personal development is professional development.
I learned that working with a client who specializes in team building and team development. The common thread in all of that is emotional intelligence. Because you can’t get anywhere in life being a jerk.
NO, YOU CAN’T! GAAH!
Back in the earlier parts of 2017, I took a big jump into a new niche for speakers, authors, coaches, and consultants. I’ll write more on that soon, but those groups of people are pretty amazing, filled with all sorts of creativity and motivation, and personal and professional development skills. It seemed to all work together. We also decided to focus more on wellness and yoga in upcoming projects, as well as publishing. To sum it up, there’s been a ton of changes at MojoWriting, all of which came about from a personal and professional development stance.
To seal that deal, I jumped in head first into yoga teacher training. Because… every online marketing consultant suddenly decides to be a yoga teacher, right? Oh, and I wrote a book. It goes on pre-sale this week. You’re encouraged to pick one up. Maybe two… the holidays are coming!
There’s actually a really good point to all of this because in the year I’ve officially taken for my own professional development, by discovering a very new and unique path, there’s a lot less “work” involved in the work I’m doing. I’ve begun working with several new and fascinating clients with nothing but amazing futures ahead of them. I get to work in professional development circles, giving assistance to those who have so much to give to others.
Thank you all for the support you’ve given, and be sure to follow my progress as I Facebook, Tweet, and Instagram my way along this path.
